To photoshop a nipple over a (female) nipple, just seems to be unreasonable and unnecessary . But it draws attention to an actual legislative error. Female nipples are banned from Instagram and other social media websites, because the providers assume that as soon as a female nipple is visible there has to be explicit content. Consequently female bodies are determined to be inherently sexual, unless women are breastfeeding or had a mastectomy.
The screen becomes a camera and captures what everybody gets taught daily, if you see nudity online it is probably an add. There are tons of images of naked women to be found online, but most they are trying to sell you something. (insert your nipple here) tries to document protest against this policies and unveil social media websites as a limited and mastered space.
